Zulay Bakery Innovates Roscón with Rosconttone for Three Kings' Day
Canary Islands' Zulay bakery is offering a limited-edition "Rosconttone," a unique blend of Roscón de Reyes and panettone, available by reservation for Three Kings' Day.
The Roscón de Reyes is a much-loved dessert, especially for Three Kings' Day on January 6th. Families often gather to share this sweet treat, following a fun tradition: whoever finds the hidden bean has to pay for the Roscón.
Since 1937, Zulay has been a well-known bakery in the Canary Islands, famous for its traditional, high-quality products. Each Three Kings' Day, they stand out with their creative Roscón cakes.
Zulay loves to innovate, and they've reimagined this popular festive dessert. Their standout creation is the Rosconttone, a special handmade treat that blends the Roscón de Reyes with the delicious flavor of panettone. This is a limited edition item, made with traditional panettone dough, and you can only get it by reserving in advance.
The secret to its success is a long fermentation process using sourdough. This makes the Roscón incredibly spongy, tender, and fragrant, with a soft texture and a taste that will leave you wanting more.
Besides the traditional plain Roscón, Zulay also offers its unique Rosconttones in various flavors to suit everyone's taste.
Because these treats are so popular every January, Zulay, like other bakeries, takes orders ahead of time. It's a good idea to reserve yours early to make sure you don't miss out on these special Three Kings' Day creations.
Once you purchase your Roscón, your reservation is confirmed. Orders can be collected on January 5th, between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
If you don't have a reservation, a limited number of Roscones will be available for purchase from January 3rd to 5th, but only while supplies last.
