A youth football match in Tenerife descended into a mass brawl involving players and fans, raising concerns about violence in youth sports.

This weekend saw more football-related violence in the Canary Islands. On Friday, October 17th, a youth football match in Tíncer, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, turned into a massive brawl, disrupting the peace of what is usually a quiet youth sports field.

The game between Unión Deportiva Campana and Sociedad Deportiva Valleseco B in the Youth First Division, Group 2, descended into chaos, raising concerns about youth sports.

It started with a fight between two players but quickly escalated into an all-out battle. Players, substitutes, and even fans ran onto the field, and the scene was filled with pushing, punches, shouting, and players without shirts. Coaches and the referee desperately tried to regain control.

According to witnesses and videos shared online, a UD Campana player attacked a Valleseco player after a disputed play. This sparked a larger fight involving other players from both teams, including those on the sidelines.

Despite the chaos, the match resumed after things calmed down, with SD Valleseco B winning 1-2.
