The X Multidisciplinary Conference concludes its final week in Tenerife with talks on diabetes and art, and a piano concert featuring works by Ravel, Debussy, and original compositions.

The X Multidisciplinary Conference, hosted by the Royal Academies of Fine Arts, Medicine, and Sciences in the Canary Islands, is heading into its second and final week. This week features two talks and a piano concert, happening on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

All events will be at the Royal Canary Islands Academy of Fine Arts in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Plaza de Ireneo González, 1), starting at 7:00 PM. Entry is free, but spaces are limited, so arrive early.

On Monday, Dr. Germán Perdomo Hernández will discuss "The Science Behind Diabetes: From Insulin to Personalized Medicine."

Tuesday's talk, "The Portrait of Cardinal João da Mota: Art, Biography, and Mystery," will be given by Dr. José Nicolás Boada Juárez. He will focus on an anonymous 18th-century oil painting.

To close the conference on Wednesday, pianist and Racba academic Gustavo Díaz-Jerez will perform. His program includes pieces by Maurice Ravel, Samuel Aguilar, Claude Debussy, Leandro Martín, José Luis Perdigón, and some of his own compositions.
