La Laguna, a city recognized as a World Heritage Site, is getting ready to host a major cultural event focused on Japan. Called "Mundo Japón 2026," this five-day festival will run from March 18 to 22, offering a program designed to fully immerse visitors in Japanese culture. Events like this not only reflect the growing worldwide interest in Eastern traditions and arts but also strengthen La Laguna's reputation as a lively cultural center in the Canary Islands.

The event will feature a wide range of activities, from exhibitions and specialized workshops to film screenings, martial arts demonstrations, and live music. Casa Anchieta has been named one of the main locations. On Wednesday, March 18, at noon, two key exhibitions will open there: "Warriors of Feudal Japan: Samurai and Ninjas," showcasing samurai armor, and another focusing on manga art. Casa Anchieta will also host many of the training sessions and workshops, as well as Japanese film screenings on the evenings of Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, both starting at 8:00 PM.

This festival won't be confined to Casa Anchieta; it will also take place at other important venues throughout the city, traditionally known as Aguere. The organizers have mentioned that the schedule of activities might change. Therefore, those interested should check for the latest details and times on the digital platform mundojaponfest.es, as well as on its official Facebook and Instagram pages.

This initiative offers a great chance for people living in Tenerife to learn more about Eastern traditions. By combining historically accurate exhibitions with lively workshops and outdoor demonstrations, the event highlights its potential to promote understanding between cultures and enrich the island's cultural scene.
