After an eight-year absence, the SM La Reina Iberdrola Cup, featuring eight top national women's volleyball teams, returns to Santa Cruz de Tenerife from January 22-25, 2026, with a newspaper offering ticket giveaways.

The SM La Reina Iberdrola Cup is coming back to the island after eight years! To celebrate, our newspaper is giving back to our loyal readers. From January 22 to 25, 2026, the Quico Cabrera Pavilion in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host the top national women's volleyball event. Eight of the best teams from the Iberdrola League will compete to win this knockout tournament, hoping to take the title from current champions Avarca de Menorca.

This four-day event promises thrilling, high-level sport and will be a historic moment for Tenerife. It's organized by the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation, with key support from Iberdrola, the Cabildo de Tenerife, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the Santa Cruz City Council. The Canary Islands Volleyball Federation is also collaborating.
