
Woman Seriously Injured in Arona Motorbike Crash
A woman was seriously injured and a motorcyclist also hurt after the motorcyclist hit her as she was getting off a public bus in Arona, south Tenerife, on Wednesday afternoon.
A woman was seriously injured on Wednesday afternoon after being hit by a motorcyclist in the south of Tenerife.
It's believed the woman was getting off a public bus at a stop in Arona when the motorcyclist ran her over. The motorcyclist was also injured in the crash.
Traffic police are investigating whether the motorcyclist was trying to overtake in a dangerous spot when the accident happened.
The incident happened at 6 PM on the TF-66 road, which links Valle San Lorenzo and Las Galletas.
Reports indicate the crash took place at kilometer 7 of this road, between the Guaza neighborhood and the entrance to Los Palos golf course.
Paramedics from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) and traffic police from the Granadilla detachment responded to the scene. The police will prepare the official report.
