Woman Rescued After Fall on Rugged Terrain in La Laguna, Tenerife

Emergency services in La Laguna, Tenerife, were called to a rescue operation this Friday, highlighting the challenges of navigating the area’s rugged terrain. According to the 112 Canary Islands emergency service, a woman required assistance after falling on a slope near El Esparragal Street.

The incident occurred mid-morning, triggering a coordinated response from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), medical staff from the Tejina health center, local police, and the fire department. After the alert was raised at 10:51 a.m., rescuers used stretchers to reach and extract the woman from the difficult terrain.

Once stabilized at the scene, the woman was taken to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital. Medical reports indicate she sustained moderate injuries from the fall. To ensure a swift and safe journey, local police escorted the ambulance to the hospital.
