A 70-year-old woman is in critical condition at the University Hospital of the Canary Islands after falling into a ravine in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife.
The accident, which occurred on Calle Piscis, triggered a complex rescue operation. Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium worked to recover the woman from the slope, where she was then treated by the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC).
The woman suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and was taken to the hospital by a medicalized ambulance. Local police in La Laguna are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall.
