Woman Found Dead in La Laguna Home, Autopsy Ordered
A middle-aged woman was found dead in her La Laguna home, prompting a police investigation and an autopsy to determine the cause of death, though no signs of violence were initially reported.
A middle-aged woman was found dead in her home in La Laguna on Monday morning.
The discovery was made at a house on La Calzada street, in the El Timple neighborhood. This area is close to the New Seminary and the La Verdellada social housing complex.
People close to the woman arrived at the house. Police from La Laguna quickly arrived and secured the scene, blocking access to the house.
A forensic doctor from Santa Cruz de Tenerife then entered the home to examine the body. Soon after, crime scene investigators also went inside to look for clues about how the woman died.
Sources say the forensic doctor could not confirm a natural death. Because of this, the case has been sent to the courts, and an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
However, there were no obvious signs that she died violently or that anyone else was involved.
