Woman Dies Following Drowning Incident at Tenerife Beach

Emergency services were alerted shortly before 11:00 a.m. Beach lifeguards were the first to respond, pulling the woman from the water and beginning CPR after finding she was in cardiac arrest. Despite the quick response and advanced resuscitation efforts from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and local doctors, they were unable to revive her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
