Police in Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested a woman for drug trafficking and illegal weapons possession after discovering a revolver, ammunition, and narcotics during a vehicle search.
Police in Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested a woman suspected of drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. The operation began after authorities received reports that narcotics were being distributed from a private vehicle.
Officers monitored the suspect as she drove through the city. After observing suspicious behavior—specifically the handling of metal objects and suspected drugs inside the car—police pulled the vehicle over for an inspection.
During the search, officers discovered a revolver, 46 rounds of .38 caliber ammunition, and nearly a gram of cocaine. Following these findings, police obtained a warrant to search the woman’s home, where they seized an additional 5 grams of crack cocaine and 465 euros in cash, further suggesting involvement in street-level drug sales.
The police emphasized that the use of firearms in drug-related activities poses a significant threat to public safety. Under the Spanish Penal Code, the woman faces charges for both drug trafficking and illegal weapons possession. She has been handed over to the judicial authorities, who will determine the next steps in the investigation.
