
William Levy and his daughter will film "Under the Volcano 2" in Tenerife: road closures in Santa Cruz
William Levy returns to Tenerife to film the sequel to "Under the Volcano" with his daughter, which will lead to the temporary closure of some streets in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
William Levy, the famous actor, is returning to Tenerife! He will be filming the second part of his popular film "Under the Volcano." And this time, his daughter will be with him on screen!
The first part of the film was shot in picturesque locations: Garachico, Guía de Isora, and Adeje. Now, filming will once again take place in Garachico, as well as in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
By the way, this is not William Levy's first time working in Tenerife. He starred here in the series "Arcadia" about a man who fled from his past in Mexico to start a new life in the Canary Islands with his son. There, he coached a local Canarian wrestling team.
And even earlier, he filmed the Netflix series "Monte Cristo" in Tenerife, although the plot took place in Cuba. Many scenes were filmed in Santa Cruz de Tenerife at that time.
Attention drivers! Due to the filming of "Under the Volcano 2" in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, some streets will be closed:
- Calvo Sotelo Street (near the Enroque pub, building number 5) will be closed between Santiago Cuadrado and Rambla de Santa Cruz streets. The closure will last up to 8 hours at night, from 7:00 PM on September 22 to 4:00 AM on November 23, 2025. Detour via the neighboring streets Fernando Primo de Rivera or De Los Sueños.
- Emilio Calzadilla Street will be closed between Plaza del Patriotismo and Suarez Guerra and San Juan Bautista streets. The closure will last up to 2 hours at night, from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM on September 23. Detour via the neighboring streets.
Parking will also be prohibited on some streets:
- Calvo Sotelo Street: parking is prohibited on both sides of the street between Santiago Cuadrado and Rambla de Santa Cruz streets, on a section of about 170 meters, from 4:00 PM on September 22 to 8:00 AM the next day.
- Ricardo Castelo Gómez Street: parking is prohibited near the Plaza de Toros and the municipal depot, on the section between Horacio Nelson and Comandante Sánchez Pinto, on a section of about 140 meters, from 4:00 PM on September 22 to 8:00 AM the next day.
- Puerto Escondido Street: parking is prohibited on both sides of the street between Suarez Guerra and San Clemente streets, on a section of about 120 meters, from 4:00 PM on September 22 to 7:00 AM on September 23.
- San Clemente Street: parking is prohibited on the right side of the street between El Pilar and Santa Rosalía streets, on a section of about 35 meters, from 6:00 PM on September 23 to 7:00 AM on September 24, 2025.
The city authorities ask drivers to pay attention to road signs, follow detour rules, and plan their trips in advance if possible.
