William Levy Films Sequel in Tenerife, Dines at Award-Winning Brunelli's
Actor William Levy, who revealed his Canary Islands heritage and filmed in Tenerife, was recently seen dining at the acclaimed Brunelli's Steakhouse in Puerto de la Cruz.
Actor William Levy spent several weeks in the Canary Islands filming his successful movie, Under a Volcano, which was shot in Tenerife. He's set to return for a sequel, Under a Fire, where he will once again play Mario Torres, picking up the story a year after the first film ended.
Beyond his work, the Cuban actor has been particularly captivated by the islands' delicious food.
A few weeks ago, Levy revealed his Spanish roots and his special affection for the country in an interview with Antena 3's Objetivo TV.
"My great-grandfather, may he rest in peace, was from the Canary Islands. My grandmother's father," the actor explained. He also mentioned that if he were to live in Spain, he would choose Madrid because it's more central and easier to get around.
In Puerto de la Cruz, one of the island's top culinary spots is Brunelli's Steakhouse, an American-style restaurant that delights everyone who visits.
Behind a modest facade, you'll find an elegant and bright establishment, offering a perfect setting to enjoy a meal overlooking the sea.
Its spectacular window, opening directly to the Atlantic, transforms every meal into a unique visual experience, with the sounds and breeze of the ocean accompanying each bite.
William Levy has been spotted at this restaurant, where the star attraction is the meat, prepared with an almost artisanal touch. Brunelli's has its own aging chambers and an impressive Southbend oven, the only one of its kind in the Canary Islands, capable of reaching temperatures of 800 degrees.
This high-heat technique seals the meat's pores, preserving all its juiciness and flavor, resulting in a roast that stands alongside the best steakhouses worldwide.
The menu features both national and international meats, perfectly aged for 28 days on-site and expertly cooked.
Popular starters include homemade chorizo (€13), homemade cheddar and jalapeño croquettes (€12), and the Brunelli's salad (€18), which adds a fresh touch to the dining experience.
To finish, the creamy Brunelli's cheesecake (€9) is an irresistible treat for dessert lovers.
Brunelli's Steakhouse is part of the Loro Parque Group, which also includes the Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden – both known for excellence in Tenerife tourism. The restaurant offers an exclusive package that combines park admission with a meal at Brunelli's, providing an unforgettable culinary experience with Atlantic views.
The restaurant is located at Calle Bencomo, 42, Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife). It is open daily for lunch from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM and for dinner from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Brunelli's has also received several awards, cementing its reputation as a top dining destination in the Canary Islands. In 2020, it was listed among the Top 10 Canary Island restaurants and has been recommended four times by the Michelin Guide.
