The Binter NightRun in Santa Cruz de Tenerife has partnered with Vithas Canarias to enhance medical safety protocols and provide expert health guidance for participants ahead of the April 18 race.

Security measures for the upcoming Binter NightRun in Santa Cruz de Tenerife are being stepped up. Organizers DG Eventos have partnered with the Vithas Canarias healthcare group to ensure that Vithas Tenerife Hospital will directly oversee the event’s medical operations.

The agreement, signed by David García and Daniel González, goes beyond simple sponsorship. For the race on April 18, Vithas will provide emergency vehicles, set up an advanced medical station, and deploy a team of sports medicine and trauma specialists to handle any emergencies.

The partnership also aims to promote physical well-being and preventive health. As part of this initiative, the public is invited to an informative session on April 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hotel Eurostars Atlántida. Dr. Paloma Suárez will lead the talk, covering essential topics for runners, including nutrition, supplements, and the importance of medical check-ups before intense exercise to help prevent injuries and boost performance.

This collaboration highlights the increasing professionalization of mass-participation races in Spain, where high safety and health standards are now essential for hosting large-scale urban events.
