Vehicle Rollover Causes Traffic Delays on Tenerife’s TF-1 Highway
A vehicle rollover on Tenerife’s TF-1 highway caused significant traffic delays near Costa Adeje this morning, though both occupants escaped the accident without injury.
Traffic on the TF-1 in southern Tenerife was disrupted again this morning following a vehicle rollover. The accident occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. on the road leading to Costa Adeje, a route that is already prone to heavy congestion during weekday rush hours.
The incident worsened the usual traffic delays between San Isidro and Guaza. As this road serves as the primary artery for the island’s tourism and labor sectors, any accident or technical issue quickly causes long tailbacks, highlighting the vulnerability of the local infrastructure.
Emergency services responded immediately to the scene. Officers from the Civil Guard managed traffic flow, while the Tenerife Fire Consortium and the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched to assist. The two occupants of the vehicle—a man and a woman—were unharmed and declined hospital treatment after being assessed by medics. Preliminary reports suggest the driver lost control of the car, as no other vehicles were involved.
