The University of La Laguna (ULL) has unveiled the program for the 33rd Adeje Summer University, which will take place from July 6 to 10. A collaboration between the university and the Adeje town council, this annual event offers a variety of courses and workshops designed to provide specialized training outside of the traditional classroom.

The program features 10 courses and 11 workshops, with registration now open on the university’s website. Courses cost 32 euros and offer one ECTS credit for two days of study, while four-hour workshops are priced at 13 euros. The curriculum is designed to help students and professionals update their skills in high-demand fields.

This year’s program is highly interdisciplinary. In technology and health, experts Francisco Javier Amador Morera and José Faustino Afonso Domínguez will lead sessions on integrating artificial intelligence into research and clinical practice. Other sessions focus on social and cultural topics, including Spanish Sign Language, led by María del Carmen Rodríguez Jiménez, and an exploration of the islands' agri-food heritage, coordinated by Jesús Enrique de las Heras Roger and Eva Dorta Pérez.

The full range of topics includes transatlantic literature, graphic design, bullying prevention, astrotourism, child protection in sports, emotional health, and chess. Practical workshops will cover heritage hiking, performing arts, early childhood mathematics, nutrition, paleontology, museum studies, and wine culture. Additionally, the event will feature masterclasses from percussionist Zebendrums and choreographer Marc Montojo, who will lead sessions on contemporary dance and street jazz.
