Ultraligera to Headline Soplo de Letras 2026 in Tenerife
The Soplo de Letras festival returns to Tenerife’s Plaza del Cristo on May 15 and 16, featuring a hybrid lineup of comedy, digital content, and musical acts headlined by the band Ultraligera.
The Canary Islands’ cultural scene is strengthening its national presence with the final lineup for Soplo de Letras 2026. Organizers have announced that the Madrid-based band Ultraligera will headline the upcoming edition. The group, which has built a strong following in the independent scene over the last five years, reflects the festival’s goal of attracting younger fans who enjoy a mix of post-punk and alternative pop.
The festival will take place on May 15 and 16 at the Plaza del Cristo in La Laguna. It features a hybrid program that blends live music with comedy and digital media. Friday’s opening day focuses on stand-up and digital content, featuring performances by Inés Hernand and Ignatius Farray. Saturday is dedicated to music, with performances by Ultraligera, Iseo & Dodosound, Javi Medina, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, and Paco Pecado.
By combining popular culture with contemporary themes, the festival has become a vital part of Tenerife’s cultural life. Hosting the event at the Plaza del Cristo is part of a strategy to make the arts more accessible to the public. This year, the festival will also extend to the Teatro Leal on June 19, featuring a day of debates, presentations, and performing arts to showcase a broader range of creative work.
Tickets are now available through official channels. With this lineup, Soplo de Letras aims to build on the success of bands like Ultraligera, who have recently become a major draw in the Spanish music industry.
