ULL Welcomes 9,325 Students for Open Days
The University of La Laguna will host 9,325 students from 151 Canary Islands schools next week during its three-day Open Days to showcase courses and provide essential information for prospective undergraduates.
The University of La Laguna is holding its Open Days next week. Over three days, it will showcase its courses to high school students, vocational training students, and adults planning to start university next academic year.
A total of 9,325 students from 151 schools across the Canary Islands have signed up. They will visit the Guajara Campus in three groups, accompanied by 382 teachers. On Wednesday, 3,664 students from La Laguna and northern Tenerife will attend. On Thursday, the 22nd, 3,435 students from Santa Cruz will visit. On Friday, the 23rd, 2,226 students from the other islands will come. The university shared this information in a press release.
These open days are organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Students and run by the Information and Guidance Service. Their goal is to give students who are about to start university all the information they need, helping them make well-informed decisions.
During their visit, students can learn all about the different undergraduate degrees. They can also access special videos and materials, including a full guide for families, details on costs, scholarships, and advice for new students.
This information event for future students will take place at the César Manrique General Lecture Hall. Each day, university staff will present all the degrees ULL plans to offer for the 2026-27 academic year.
Presentations are scheduled to start at 9:30 AM, 10:45 AM, and 12:00 PM. This allows each visitor to attend three different talks.
Also, at 11:00 AM each day, there will be a meeting for technical staff from secondary schools. On Thursday, the 22nd, at 6:30 PM, staff from the SIO (Information and Guidance Service) will host a special talk for parents. They will answer questions about topics like the admissions process, accommodation, and available scholarships and financial aid.
Visitors can also take part in three guided tours of a student hall of residence on the Central Campus. These tours are scheduled for the 22nd at 1:30 PM, and on the 23rd at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM.
