Emergency services were called to Calle La Capitana at approximately 10:00 p.m. Due to the difficult terrain, firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium had to secure the vehicle and help medical teams reach the scene.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) stabilized both women before taking them to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital. They are currently being treated for moderate bruising.
Local police are investigating the cause of the crash. They are looking into whether factors like road conditions or poor nighttime visibility played a role in the accident, which serves as a reminder of the challenges involved in rescuing drivers in the island's more rugged areas.
