Two Italian Camorra Fugitives Arrested in Tenerife
Spanish police in Tenerife arrested two high-value Italian fugitives, wanted for serious crimes including murder and links to the Neapolitan Camorra, within 72 hours.
Spanish police in Tenerife have arrested two fugitives in just 72 hours. These individuals were wanted by Italy and are connected to the Neapolitan Camorra crime group. Both had European Arrest Warrants against them for various crimes and could face a combined total of 60 years in jail.
The investigation started at the end of October after the Spanish National Police received a request for help from FAST Italy and the Sirene Office, thanks to their information-sharing agreements. Italy had issued a European Arrest Warrant for one of the men. He was wanted for blackmail, extortion, kidnapping, illegal detention, and hostage-taking, crimes that could lead to a 30-year prison sentence.
This man was considered a "high-value target" because he is believed to be a leader of a well-known Neapolitan Camorra criminal group. He was arrested last Wednesday in tourist apartments in Rocas de Mar. Police believe he was still directing the criminal organization from there.
The second fugitive was wanted for being part of a criminal organization and for murder. This was after he took part in a shooting in the Italian town of Striano in 2024, where a man was shot up to 12 times on a public street.
After an alert was sent through the ENFAST Network, an investigation began. This led to his discovery and arrest in a holiday rental apartment on Tenerife.
