A man and a woman were injured, one seriously, when their car hit a tree on the TF-21 road in Granadilla de Abona on Friday night.

On Friday night, a man and a woman were injured, one seriously, when their car hit a tree on the TF-21 road. The accident happened near kilometer 81 in Granadilla de Abona, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

Emergency services were alerted around 7:39 PM after receiving a call about the crash and the need for medical help for two people. Cecoes immediately sent emergency teams to the scene.

Firefighters arrived and secured the vehicle. They freed a woman who was trapped inside and then cleared the road.

Paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) treated the injured. The 36-year-old woman had multiple serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.

The man suffered several moderate bruises and was transported by a SUC ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.

The Civil Guard managed traffic in the area and took a report on the incident.
