Two people were hospitalized with moderate injuries following a two-car collision on Tenerife’s TF-5 highway in Los Realejos on Wednesday night.

Road accidents on the TF-5 are back in the spotlight after a collision in Los Realejos this Wednesday left two people with moderate injuries.

The crash occurred near kilometer 43 at approximately 9:30 p.m. and involved two cars. While the Civil Guard is still investigating the exact cause of the accident, the incident triggered a significant emergency response on one of Tenerife’s busiest roads.

Paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) treated a 22-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman at the scene. Both were taken to Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries.

The Tenerife Fire Consortium was called to stabilize the vehicles, while the Island Council’s road maintenance team cleared the debris and worked to restore traffic flow.
