Two people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash on the TF-245 road in Arafo this Thursday. Emergency services reported that a 39-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries in the accident.
The rescue was complicated, requiring the Tenerife Fire Department to cut the woman free from one of the three vehicles involved. Once she was extracted, medical teams from the Canary Islands Emergency Service stabilized both victims, who were suffering from various traumas and bruises, before transporting them to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash at approximately 12:40 p.m. The Civil Guard is now investigating the cause of the accident. This incident serves as a reminder of the need for extra caution on local roads, where traffic density and road layout require drivers to remain constantly alert.
