Andriu, a 35-year-old Spanish footballer, is successfully playing for Real Unión de Tenerife after nearly 20 years of career in various clubs, helping the team to establish itself in the Third Division.

Andriu, or Alejandro Adrián Hernández Santiago, is a footballer who may not be known to everyone, but he has played an important role in Spanish football for almost 20 years. He has traveled to various teams, cities, and even countries. Now, at 35, he plays for Real Unión de Tenerife and seems to be experiencing one of the best periods of his career.

He plays in the Third Canarian League, and in three matches his team has won twice at home. Both winning goals were scored by Andriu. For example, in the game against San Miguel, his goal at the beginning of the second half brought the team important three points. Although the team is currently in seventh place, their main goal is to stay in the league.

Andriu himself is not very concerned about the goals scored. He says that he "doesn't care if he is in the statistics." He is an experienced defender who became a midfielder towards the end of his career. But he admits that the team is playing well, and a positive start helps to look to the future with optimism. Regarding his goals, he says that he is glad that they helped the team to score points, because this is the main thing for every player.

Andriu left the Tenerife youth academy at the age of 15 and has since played for various teams, including Atlético Albacete, Toledo, Real Unión de Irún, Betis Deportivo, Oxford City, Lleida, Ejea, Villarrubia, Linares and Coruxo. In total, he spent 19 years away from home. Returning to the Canary Islands is connected not only with football, but also with family. He wanted to settle in one place after many years of moving.

He and his wife decided that when their daughter went to school, it would be necessary to decide whether to stay in Vigo or return to Tenerife. In the end, they decided to return home and start all over again as a family of three. The offer from Real Unión, through Vitolo, was perfect for this.

Andriu believes that at 35 he can still play football and that his experience will help the team to establish itself in the Third League after a 30-year break.

He left Tenerife early because he was disappointed with some things at the club. He says that he "didn't like how everything was organized there," and he even told his parents that he wanted to leave. Atlético Albacete gave him a chance, and that's how his long journey began.

One of the important stages of his career was England, where he played for Oxford City. He got there at the age of 24 with the help of a former teammate. He says that he didn't even hesitate, because he always wanted to learn English, which was important for a person from the island. He has very good memories of this time.

During two seasons in Oxford, Andriu got acquainted with a different kind of football – less technical, but more intense. There he partially fulfilled his "dream" of playing in England. In addition, he met his wife there.

But if there is a club that Andriu especially remembers, it is the Galician Coruxo. He spent four seasons there and remembers this time with great love. He says that it is a "very family club" where you are treated "like a son." He even turned down more lucrative offers because he didn't want to leave. He was the captain of the team and says that it was "difficult for him to decide not to stay there." His daughter was born in Galicia.

At the age of 35, Andriu demonstrates stability and adaptability. He is a professional who has seen football from different sides.
