Police in Tenerife have arrested two individuals and solved six burglaries following a traffic stop in Arona that uncovered stolen luxury goods and burglary tools.

Police in southern Tenerife have dismantled a criminal operation following the arrest of two individuals in Arona on March 8. The arrests have helped solve six separate burglaries across the island, highlighting the success of proactive road patrols.

The operation began when a National Police patrol spotted a vehicle driving erratically. After pulling the car over, officers identified the two occupants and discovered that both had previous records for property crimes. One of the men was also wanted on an outstanding judicial arrest warrant.

A search of the vehicle proved critical to the investigation. Officers found a collection of luxury items—including footwear, leather goods, electronics, and fragrances—along with burglary tools and various property keys. A quantity of narcotics was also seized from one of the suspects.

A follow-up investigation, supported by the San Miguel de Abona Local Police and the Civil Guard, linked the items found in the car to six recent burglaries. Data from the vehicle’s movements placed the suspects at the crime scenes just hours before they were caught. Both individuals have since been remanded in custody by a judge.

This case demonstrates the value of cooperation between different security forces in tracking stolen goods across municipal borders. The National Police are encouraging citizens to report any suspicious activity through official channels, noting that all information remains confidential.
