Tenerife's National Police arrested two young people following an attempted violent robbery at a Los Realejos gas station, with further investigation linking them to several other similar incidents.

National Police in Tenerife have arrested two young people following an attempted violent robbery at a gas station. The incident took place on the afternoon of November 18 at a station in the La Gañanía industrial estate, Los Realejos.

Around 7 PM, the two individuals entered the establishment, intending to steal the cash register. After struggling with staff, they failed to get any money and fled the scene on a motorcycle. Police quickly located their getaway vehicle in a nearby area of the industrial estate, leading to their swift arrest.

Further police investigations suggest one of the arrested individuals was also involved in another robbery that same afternoon. The second person arrested is suspected of carrying out four other violent robberies at different businesses in Los Realejos around the same time. All these incidents followed a similar pattern, involving the use of physical force to try and steal money from the businesses.

The investigation is still ongoing to fully understand what happened.
