Two Arrested for Attempted Home Occupation in Arona

The incident occurred on Llano Mora Street in Valle San Lorenzo. Police were alerted by the 112 emergency service after reports of suspicious activity at a private home. When officers arrived, they caught two men in the act of breaking in; one was using a hammer and chisel to force open the door.
When questioned, the men admitted they had no legal right to the property and claimed they were simply looking for a place to sleep. Police contacted the owner, who confirmed the house was unoccupied but was being used to store personal belongings.
Because the suspects were caught in the act, police were able to take immediate legal action. The men were arrested and handed over to judicial authorities. Arona City Council praised the operation, noting that the quick response from officers was essential in preventing the illegal occupation and protecting the property from further damage.
