Starting September 5th, there will be partial overnight closures on the TF-1 between Oroteanda and Las Chafiras to complete the construction of the third lane and road surface renovation.
Attention, drivers! Starting this Friday, September 5, there will be nighttime road closures on the TF-1.
The Government of the Canary Islands has warned that they will be closing the section between the Oroteanda and Las Chafiras junctions. This is necessary to complete the construction of the third lane between San Isidro and Las Américas.
This section of the road is very busy – about 90,000 cars pass through here every day, plus traffic from other roads (TF-65, TF-652 and TF-655) and from the Las Chafiras industrial area.
Therefore, the works will be carried out at night in order not to create large traffic jams during the day.
Currently, road workers are returning the TF-1 to its usual route: cutting old asphalt, laying new asphalt, rearranging concrete blocks, installing safety barriers, making exits and updating road signs.
These works will last from September 14 to September 21, first in the direction of Santa Cruz, and then in the direction of the South.
In addition, from September 5 to September 21, large signs, panels and safety barriers will be installed. This requires cranes and other heavy equipment, so some lanes will be partially occupied.
And finally, from September 21 to October 25, the final layer of coating and markings will be applied.
The road service asks drivers to be careful, follow the rules and listen to the instructions of road workers. Be careful on the road!
