Night works begin on the TF-1 to complete the third lane.
Starting September 14, night work will begin on the TF-1 highway between Oroteanda and Las Chafiras to complete the third lane, which may lead to partial lane closures.
Attention drivers! Starting this Sunday, September 14, night work will begin on the TF-1 highway, between the Oroteanda and Las Chafiras junctions. This is due to the completion of the third lane between San Isidro and Las Americas.
From today until September 21, road workers will be restoring the TF-1 highway to its usual condition. They will be removing the old asphalt, laying new asphalt, rearranging concrete blocks, installing metal barriers, connecting parts of the road, and applying markings.
To avoid major traffic jams, the work will be carried out at night. After all, about 90,000 cars pass through this section every day, as well as transport from the TF-65, TF-652 and TF-655 roads, and from the Las Chafiras industrial zone.
The Road Infrastructure Management asks drivers to be careful, follow the signs and listen to the instructions of road workers.
From September 5 to 21, large signs, billboards and banners, as well as parapets and safety barriers will be installed. This requires cranes and other heavy equipment, so some lanes will be partially closed.
Finally, from September 21 to October 25, the final layer of asphalt will be laid and the final markings will be applied to the entire section.
