TF-1 repairs: traffic restrictions in southern Tenerife
Night repair works will take place on the TF-1 from August 10 to 14, which will lead to partial lane closures between El Porís and Tajao.
This week, road repairs will once again take place on the TF-1 southern highway. The Cabildo of Tenerife (local authorities) will ensure that the surface is even and safe.
The works will last from Sunday (August 10) to Thursday (August 14) at night, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Please be careful in the section between El Porís (km 37), Abades (km 45) and Tajao (km 47). The right lane will be closed there, and sometimes the middle lanes in both directions. Traffic will be diverted along the outer lanes.
The Cabildo asks drivers to be careful, pay attention to signs and listen to road workers.
The TF-1 is a very important road, with more than 70,000 cars passing through it every day.
In addition to the new asphalt, there are plans to do a few more things: install "rumble strips" (so you can hear if you are driving off the road), raise metal fences, add reflectors, repaint markings, install concrete barriers and protective fences on bridges.
