The "Encuentros en el M/A/L" Festival has opened a new photo exhibition by Tomás Rodríguez at the University of La Laguna, exploring photography's role in social reflection and memory until March 22nd.

The "Encuentros en el M/A/L" (Music, Culture, and Literature) Festival recently opened a new photo exhibition by Tomás Rodríguez. This show makes photography a key focus for thinking about society in the festival's eighth year. It highlights how photos can help us understand today's social and cultural issues, aiming to connect people with different kinds of art.

The exhibition looks at how memory and social responsibility are linked. You can see it for free from this Monday until March 22nd at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication at the University of La Laguna. Tomás Rodríguez is a well-known photojournalist and cultural journalist who has worked for places like La Opinión de Tenerife. He combines careful research with an artistic view. His photos use the camera to explore current topics like human rights and changes in cities, hoping to make people more aware.

This exhibition is part of the eighth Encuentros en el M/A/L Festival. The festival takes place across Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and La Gomera in March, April, and June. Cauproges produces the event, which gets support from the Canary Islands Government through Promotur Turismo Islas Canarias and the Canary Island Institute for Cultural Development. It also works with partners like Teatro Leal, Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, Aguere Cultural, La Parte Baja, Gomera Lounge, and the ULL's Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication.

Rodríguez's exhibition encourages people to think about how memory and community involvement are connected, bringing together art and global responsibility. After this show, the same university space in La Laguna will host another photo exhibition from April 7th to 22nd. This one will feature works by Professor Jesús Rodríguez Falcón, who explores how precise shapes meet artistic feeling, adding more visual art to the festival.
