TLP Tenerife is marking its 20th anniversary by replacing energy drinks with locally sourced smoothies and fresh fruit to promote healthier habits among attendees at this year's digital entertainment event.

TLP Tenerife is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a major change to its food and drink offerings. The event, held from July 15 to 19 at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Trade Fair Center, is moving away from energy drinks in favor of natural, locally sourced alternatives. This shift aims to promote healthier habits within the gaming community.

To make this happen, the organizers have partnered with local producer Sergio Rodríguez—known online as "Nito." The collaboration will provide nearly 10,000 smoothies made from local ingredients, specifically crafted to keep attendees energized during long gaming sessions. Fresh, pre-cut fruit will also be available at a dedicated stand.

The Cabildo de Tenerife’s Department of Innovation supports this move as a step toward greater social responsibility. Department head Juan José Martínez explained that the goal is to promote positive values among younger generations and bridge the gap between digital-savvy youth and the local agricultural sector. For Rodríguez, the event is a chance to reach new customers and showcase how innovation can thrive in farming.

As the Canary Islands' largest digital entertainment event, the 2026 edition will feature an expanded setup with 1,200 stations in the LAN area. The program includes 62 activities, featuring popular content creator Luzu and a performance by the South Korean band W24. By updating its food policy, TLP aims to remain a leader in technology while encouraging healthier lifestyles in the digital age.
