Titsa increases bus service to Candelaria for the holiday.
To celebrate Candelaria, the transport company Titsa is increasing bus routes and organizing a special service from La Laguna, as well as offering free parking for passengers.
The transport company Titsa will increase the operation of some routes to make it easier for people to get to the Candelaria celebrations on August 14 and 15.
In Candelaria, all buses will stop on Avenida de Los Menceyes (near the old station) from 14:00 on August 14 (Thursday) to 17:00 on August 15 (Friday). Therefore, the stops from Calle Bélgica to Plaza de Teror will be temporarily out of service.
According to the plan, bus No. 122 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Las Caletillas – Candelaria) will run more frequently than usual from 18:30 on August 14 to 23:00 on August 15. This will help anyone who wants to get to the municipality on these days.
Bus No. 120 (Santa Cruz – Güímar – Candelaria – Puertito de Güímar) will also have more trips, starting at 17:25.
In addition, Titsa will launch a special route No. 522: La Laguna – Highway – Candelaria. It will run from 18:30 on August 14 (Thursday) to 21:30 on August 15 (Friday). The last bus from Candelaria to La Laguna will depart at 23:30. The route in both directions: La Laguna – TF-5 North Highway – TF-2 Highway – TF-1 South Highway – Candelaria.
Pilgrims who want to start their journey from the Main Southern Road can use various buses that run on the regular schedule on August 14 (Thursday) and make stops in the following locations: Santa Cruz – La Cuesta Intersection: buses No. 014 and 228; Santa Cruz – Taco Intersection: buses No. 232, 233, 934, 936, 937 and 238; and Santa Cruz – University Hospital of the Canary Islands: buses No. 015, 102, 103 and 108.
Those traveling from the south of the island can use buses No. 111 and 711, which connect Santa Cruz de Tenerife with Costa Adeje on the TF-1 highway in both directions.
Passengers arriving in Candelaria by bus will be able to park for free at the park-and-ride facilities in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna from 18:00 on August 14 to 23:00 on August 15. To do this, you must show a ticket for buses No. 120, 122 and 522. Contact the central parking cashier to confirm the use of these routes.
