In Tenerife, bus routes No. 611, 605, 606 and 608 have been restored for students traveling to the University of La Laguna from various parts of the island.

Buses to the university are running again in Tenerife!

From now on, it will be easier for students from La Orotava and Costa Adeje to get to the University of La Laguna (ULL). The Cabildo of Tenerife, together with the Titsa company, have resumed special bus routes just in time for the start of the academic year.

These are the routes:

  • No. 611 (departing from Costa Adeje)
  • No. 605 (departing from La Orotava)
  • No. 606 (departing from Icod)
  • No. 608 (departing from Plaza de Mencey Bencomo in Los Realejos)

Some buses run twice a day in both directions, others once.

According to the Cabildo of Tenerife, about 25,000 students used these routes from January to June last year.

Rosa Dávila, President of the Cabildo of Tenerife, noted that the resumption of these buses will help thousands of students get to the university faster, more conveniently and more environmentally friendly from different parts of the island. This will also reduce the number of cars on the roads.

She also emphasized that these buses are only part of a larger plan that the Cabildo is implementing together with the University of La Laguna. The plan includes a flexible schedule for arriving at campuses and encouraging students to share cars.
