In Tenerife, Titsa buses switch to winter schedule: route and timetable changes
From September 8th, Titsa buses in Tenerife will switch to a winter schedule with numerous route and timetable changes, including the reinstatement of student routes and adjustments to services in the north and south of the island.
From September 8, Titsa buses in Tenerife (a company owned by the local authorities) will switch to the winter schedule. This is due to the end of the holidays and the start of the school year.
The main changes will affect routes 100 and 103, which run between Puerto de la Cruz and the major cities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna.
Thus, bus No. 100 (Puerto de la Cruz – Santa Cruz, direct) will run every half hour and will also operate on weekends. It will not call at La Laguna, but will make stops near the university and hospitals (near the Intercambiador transport interchange).
Bus No. 103 (Puerto de la Cruz – La Laguna, direct) will change its route and will not run to Santa Cruz. It will directly connect Puerto de la Cruz and La Laguna, which should increase the number of seats on these routes.
If you need to get to Santa Cruz or La Laguna from stops on the TF-5 highway, you can use bus No. 102. Its route will not change.
The schedule and number of services will also change on routes 014 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife – La Laguna), 012 (La Laguna – El Sauzal via Tacoronte), 021 (Tacoronte – Mesa del Mar), 023 (Tacoronte – El Pris via El Calvario), 050 (La Laguna – Tegueste – Bajamar – Punta del Hidalgo) and 055 (La Laguna – Valle de Guerra – Tejina – Punta del Hidalgo).
City bus No. 224 in La Laguna will also switch to the winter schedule and change its route. It will no longer run to the beaches of Jover and Barranquera, but will go to Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo.
The number of services on weekends will be reduced on routes 120 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Candelaria – Puertito de Güímar – Güímar), 122 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Las Caletillas – Candelaria), 138 and 139 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Radazul – Tabaiba).
In the north of the island, bus No. 347 (La Orotava – Palo Blanco – Realejo Alto) will run more frequently on weekdays, and bus No. 366 (La Orotava – Las Dehesas – El Rincón) will run on weekends. The number of services on bus No. 376 (La Orotava – Las Dehesas – El Rincón) will be reduced. The schedule of bus No. 380 (La Corujera – Tigaiga) will also change.
Bus No. 546 between Realejo Alto and El Socorro beach will no longer run, and bus No. 369 between Buenavista and Teno will return to the winter schedule from October 1.
In the south of the island, from September 8, services that only ran on school days will resume on routes 410, 412, 419, 421, 463 and 486.
Bus No. 416 (Granadilla – Valle San Lorenzo – Los Cristianos) will change some services, and bus No. 467 (Costa del Silencio – Los Cristianos – Estación Costa Adeje – La Caleta) will update its weekend schedule, adding more night services.
Bus No. 493 (Guía de Isora, Alcalá via TF-463) will change its route from Guía de Isora to Alcalá, passing through the Playa San Juan road (TF-463), Playa de San Juan, the TF-47 road and Alcalá. Departure times on weekdays and weekends will also change.
Bus No. 494 (Guía de Isora, Alcalá via TF-463) will also change its route in both directions. In one direction, it will run via Guía de Isora (C/ del Campo) – Tejina de Guía (TF-82) – Piedra Hincada – Playa – Alcalá, and in the opposite direction – from Alcalá – Playa San Juan – Piedra Hincada – TF_82 – Guía de Isora (C/ del Campo).
In addition, the schedule will change on weekdays and weekends.
In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, buses No. 934 and 936 (Intercambiador – Taco – Santa María del Mar – Añaza – Intercambiador) will run more frequently on weekdays. Bus No. 910 (Intercambiador – Playa Las Teresitas) will run less frequently on weekdays and weekends, with an interval of 10 minutes.
The number of services on bus No. 946 (Intercambiador de Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Taganana – Almáciga) will be reduced, and bus No. 948 between Afanos – Playa de Almáciga – Benijo will no longer run.
With the start of studies at the University of La Laguna, Titsa will resume special bus routes for students to make it easier for them to get from different parts of the island to their faculties.
Buses No. 605 (La Orotava – Campus Guajara – Hospitals), 606 (Icod de los Vinos – Los Realejos – Campus de Guajara), 608 (Los Realejos – Campus de Guajara) and 611 (Costa Adeje – Campus Guajara – Aulario – University Hospital of the Canary Islands) will run again.
