Titsa Announces Extra Bus Services for La Orotava Romería on June 14
Titsa is increasing bus service frequency across four key routes on Sunday, June 14, to manage traffic congestion during the Romería de La Orotava.
Managing travel during large events is a major challenge for island authorities, particularly for traditional celebrations like the Romería de La Orotava. To help handle the influx of visitors, Titsa—the island’s public transport operator—has announced a special service plan for Sunday, June 14.
The goal is to reduce traffic congestion in the La Orotava Valley by encouraging people to leave their cars at home. Starting at 9:00 a.m., Titsa will increase the frequency of buses and add extra trips across four key routes:
- Line 101 (La Laguna – La Orotava): Additional services will run from La Matanza at regular intervals between 11:50 a.m. and 6:05 p.m.
- Line 351 (Puerto de la Cruz – La Orotava via Botanical Garden): Buses will run hourly in both directions from 9:25 a.m. to 9:50 p.m.
- Line 353 (Puerto de la Cruz – Los Realejos – La Orotava): Extra capacity will be added with scheduled departures from the Los Realejos junction between 11:50 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
These service reinforcements are part of a wider effort to promote sustainable travel during major public events. Passengers can check specific timetables and plan their journeys by visiting the Titsa website, calling their customer service line at 922.53.13.00, or checking the company’s social media channels.
