In Costa Adeje, four cars were burned and two more were damaged as a result of a suspected arson. The police are investigating the case and are looking for three suspects.

Yesterday morning in Costa Adeje, there was an unpleasant incident – cars caught fire. Firefighters from Las Chafiras and local volunteers were notified.

Police say the fire seriously damaged four parked cars, and two others were slightly less affected.

It looks like it was arson. Police are now investigating who did it and why.

It all happened in the residential area of El Madroñal, where houses and villas are located.

The first call came in around six in the morning, and the second almost immediately after. Police are looking for three young men who fled the scene when the fire started. They may be involved.

Three cars burned down on El Sauce Street, and another on Acebuche Street. These streets are close to each other, so the arsonists could easily walk between them.

It is said that the cars were set on fire randomly, without any specific purpose. But police are considering other versions as well.

Forensic experts were collecting evidence at the scene yesterday to determine whether the arsonists used any special substances to start the fire.

Recently, cases of car arson have become more frequent in the south of Tenerife, especially in tourist areas. Many cars burned down in Los Cristianos and Arona.

Once, even cars that the police had confiscated and parked near the Las Terrazas area, not far from the police station in Costa Adeje, were burned.

But the most horrific incident happened six years ago on Lisbon Street, also in El Madroñal. Then, unknown persons set fire to two cars parked on opposite sides of the street. They belonged to local businessman Pedro Suarez and his wife. The attackers also threw something incendiary into their house. The culprits were never found then.
