
Three people were arrested in the Canary Islands for robbing and abusing a young man with a disability
In Los Realejos, three men, including a minor, were arrested on suspicion of robbing, beating, and violating the privacy of a disabled young man, as well as for sharing a video of the abuse on social media.
In the town of Los Realejos, police detained three young men, one of whom is a minor. They are suspected of robbing a young man with a disability, beating him, and invading his privacy.
It became known on August 28 when the 19-year-old, together with his mother, came to the police to report the attack.
The young man, who has a 50% disability, said that he was attacked by three people: 24, 20, and 17 years old. They mocked, beat, and pushed him to take his clothes and 20 euros.
During the attack, a 13-year-old girl filmed everything and then posted it on social media. The video quickly spread among local residents.
The police investigated the situation, reviewed the video, and detained the three on August 29. They are suspected of robbery, assault, and invasion of privacy. The case has been referred to the court. The juvenile will be handled by the prosecutor's office for children's affairs.
