A new art exhibition, 'Three Voices, One Beat', opened this Monday at the Casa de los Cáceres in Icod de los Vinos. It's part of the cultural events for March and coincides with International Women's Day. The show aims to highlight art by women, exploring their diverse viewpoints and experiences in the modern art scene.
The exhibition features the work of three artists, each with a distinct career and artistic style: Italian sculptor Sarah Atzeni, painter Patricia Colmeiro, and Canarian artist Guacimara Solimar. This collection invites the public to reflect on the female experience through different artistic approaches, from physical forms and volume to the depiction of emotion and landscapes.
Sarah Atzeni, an Italian sculptor, trained in Tuscany at the State Art Institute of Massa and the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara. She has a strong international presence, having exhibited in countries like Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. Her work has earned awards, including first prize at the 5th Balatonfüred International Sculpture Symposium in Hungary and the 1st Sassetta Contemporary Art Sculpture Symposium in Italy.
Patricia Colmeiro grew up in a family connected to painting. She has developed a technique focused on portraiture and expressing human emotions. Her specialized training in facial treatment, composition, and color has led to exhibitions in Dubai, Switzerland, Berlin, the United States, and Spain. In her work, she aims to capture the essence of feelings through people's faces.
Canarian artist Guacimara Solimar paints realistic oil landscapes, drawing inspiration from elements like the sea and mountains. She has exhibited her work in Tenerife, New York, Miami, Switzerland, and Barcelona. Her art advocates for preserving natural beauty and reconnecting with the environment, viewing creation as an act of care and giving a voice back to the landscape.
The official opening of 'Three Voices, One Beat' took place this Monday at 5:00 PM. The exhibition will be open to the public until April 3, with visiting hours from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
