In La Matanza, a fire in a bar led to the smoke poisoning of three people, who were hospitalized.

On Sunday, a fire broke out in a bar in La Matanza. As a result, three people inhaled smoke and were poisoned by carbon monoxide, according to the 112 Canarias emergency service.

The victims were two men, 48 and 78 years old, and a 74-year-old woman. An ambulance took them to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.

Firefighters quickly arrived, extinguished the fire, which started in the bar's kitchen, and ventilated the premises.

Rescuers, local and Canarian police, the Civil Guard, and civil defense also arrived at the scene.
