Three men robbed a store early Friday morning in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The thieves broke into a 24-hour shop in the city center, using a crowbar to force their way in. They then stole the business's cash register.
The robbery took place at 3:10 AM on Friday at a shop located at the corner of Madrid Avenue and Unamuno Street, directly opposite La Granja Park.
A worker was inside the store at the time, serving customers. Seeing the thieves' aggressive and intimidating behavior, the employee ran and hid somewhere out of sight.
The robbers got away with the cash from the register. But they didn't stop there; they also rummaged through merchandise, throwing some items onto the floor.
Given the serious nature of the crime, police from the Persons Group of the Judicial Police, based at the North District Police Station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, are now investigating the case. Investigators have already taken a statement from the witness. They will also analyze footage from surveillance cameras in the Santa Cruz area to identify, locate, and arrest the three individuals responsible for this violent robbery.
