Three Hospitalized Following House Fire in Adeje, Tenerife

Three men were hospitalized for smoke inhalation following a residential fire on San Borondón Street in Adeje, Tenerife, on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a house fire on San Borondón Street in Adeje, Tenerife, shortly before 2:00 p.m. this Friday.

The Canary Islands 112 Emergency Coordination Center received multiple reports of the fire at 1:39 p.m. Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium arrived quickly to extinguish the flames and ventilate the building to clear out toxic smoke.

Three men—aged 47, 19, and 18—were treated for smoke inhalation. Paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service assessed them at the scene before taking them to Hospitén Sur University Hospital. The two younger men suffered mild symptoms, while the 47-year-old was treated for moderate smoke inhalation.

Local and National Police also attended the scene and have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of rapid coordination between emergency teams when responding to fires in residential areas.
