"This is Michael" tribute show, featuring Michael Jackson's guitarist Jennifer Batten, comes to Canary Islands tonight
The Mar Abierto Festival presents "This is Michael," a tribute to the King of Pop featuring performer Lenny Jay and original Michael Jackson guitarist Jennifer Batten, tonight at the Pabellón Santiago Martín in La Laguna.
Tonight, Saturday, the Mar Abierto Festival is bringing "This is Michael" to the Canary Islands. The show, which celebrates the legendary King of Pop, starts at 9:00 PM at the Pabellón Santiago Martín in La Laguna. Lenny Jay takes on the role of Michael Jackson. He previously performed in a European musical about the singer for several seasons, earning praise from the Jackson family. Jay remembers, "It was like a seven-year-old boy hearing Michael Jackson for the first time and becoming a huge fan."
He added, "What started as a hobby, driven by my love and admiration for Michael, has become a significant part of my life. I never dreamed it would turn into a career and lead me on world tours, especially with a show that's so incredibly detailed."
Joining Jay on stage is Jennifer Batten, the famous guitarist who toured with Michael Jackson for 10 years.
