In Tenerife, the brutal murder of Alberto González is under investigation. 13 gang members have been arrested, suspected of kidnapping, torturing, and murdering him, as well as kidnapping and assaulting his friend.

An investigation into the brutal murder of Alberto González is underway in Tenerife. Police have arrested two more suspects, bringing the number of gang members from Añaza involved in the case to 13. They are suspected of kidnapping, torturing, and murdering Alberto, as well as kidnapping and assaulting his friend Leon, who barely survived and was hospitalized.

The latest arrests took place on Tuesday. A judge has ordered one of the suspects to be held in custody. He is charged with murder, aggravated assault, unlawful detention, and membership in a criminal organization.

The other detainee was released on bail. He is suspected of concealing the crime and participating in a criminal organization. The court ordered him to surrender his passport, not to leave the country, and not to approach Leon closer than 500 meters or communicate with him.

In total, there are 13 suspects in the case, eight of whom are being held in custody with special security measures. They are accused of the same crimes as the last detainee: murder, aggravated assault, unlawful detention, offenses against honor and dignity, and participation in a criminal organization.

Police conducted a special operation to neutralize one of the most notorious gangs on the island. Initially, three leaders were arrested: businessman Aaron Vargas (El Caca), kickboxer Moisés Baute (El Orejas), and nightclub security guard Jonathan Martín (El Gordo).

Baute and Martín surrendered to the police themselves on July 30. They arrived in a car with Alberto González's body in the trunk. Leon, who had been kidnapped, was in the back seat.

Vargas was arrested on August 1. The court decided to take them into custody, as it believes they organized the kidnapping and beating, during which hammers were used. All three were transferred to prisons in mainland Spain, as they were in danger in Tenerife from other prisoners who had scores to settle with them. The gang is known for its robberies of drug dealers, extortion, and assaults.

The second phase of the operation took place on September 25, when eight more gang members were arrested. Four of them were sent to prison, while the other four were released on bail on charges of concealing the crime and participating in a criminal organization. The last two suspects were arrested last Tuesday.

Alberto González and his friend Leon were kidnapped around July 28. They disappeared for three days until Baute and Martín surrendered to the police with Alberto's body and a seriously injured Leon. According to the investigation, the beating took place in the garage of a house in Santa María del Mar, which was used by the gang.

In addition to the three leaders, other members of the gang participated in the kidnapping and murder. Some helped carry tools, some guarded, some helped immobilize the kidnapped, and some cleaned up traces of blood. There were also those who knew about the crime but concealed it.
