The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra impressed the audience with a free concert of Western soundtracks at the Fiesta del Cristo in La Laguna, featuring soloists, a choir, and light effects.

Yesterday in La Laguna, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra once again brought the house down! They played cool soundtracks from Westerns – right as part of the Fiesta del Cristo celebrations. They say it was one of the highlights of the festival, because the concert was simply incredible.

Admission was free, and the place was packed. This event has been drawing crowds for over 20 years. This time, the orchestra was conducted by maestro Víctor Pablo Pérez. He selected a program that appealed to absolutely everyone – the best Western hits!

They played music from "Silverado", "The Great Train Robbery", "How the West Was Won", "High Noon", "The Alamo", and "Rawhide". And there were also "Legends of the Fall", "Dances with Wolves", "Legend of a Gunfighter", "The Magnificent Seven", and, of course, Ennio Morricone's "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" – all these melodies are known and loved! The symphonic arrangements made them even more emotional and nostalgic, immediately bringing back memories of favorite Westerns.

It was a joint show by the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, the Valles Symphony Orchestra, and the La Laguna City Council. They wanted to create a real atmosphere of the Western era. Jordi Cosa wrote the script, and actor Luis Posada told the stories. There were also cool lighting effects and performances by soloists: soprano Andrea Martí, baritone Toni Marsol, and harmonica virtuoso Sergi Raya.

The Reyes Bartlet choir, led by José Híjar Polo, joined the orchestra. It was great because they are jointly promoting choral music on the island. "The performance of the Reyes Bartlet choir is a wonderful way to unite the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra with other musicians on the island. It shows how public institutions can help local culture by creating something truly valuable," said José Carlos Acha, head of the Island Council's music department.

Víctor Pablo Pérez, honorary conductor of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, confessed that he was very happy to return to this concert. "It is a great honor for me to play such wonderful music in the Plaza del Cristo, together with an orchestra that is part of the soul of this island," he said.

He added: "This is probably the most popular concert I have ever conducted. Soundtracks always delight both the orchestra and the audience. And hearing them live, with all the colors of the orchestra, is unforgettable! It unites different generations."
