
Tenerife is changing bus and tram schedules: what's new?
From tomorrow, the Titsa and Metrotenerife bus and tram schedules in Tenerife will change to improve connections after the summer holidays and the start of the school year.
To ensure buses and trams run more frequently and meet the needs of people after summer vacations and the start of the school year, two state-owned companies, Titsa and Metrotenerife, will change their schedules on the island and in the capital starting tomorrow.
Changes at Titsa:
- Buses No. 100 and 103: These routes connect Puerto de la Cruz with Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna. Bus No. 100 (Puerto de la Cruz – Santa Cruz, direct) will run every half hour, even on weekends. It will not go to La Laguna, but will stop near the Guajara campus, the Santiago Martín sports arena, the university hospital, the Nuevo Obrero and Candelaria hospitals, near Fray Luis de Granada, and the "Meridiano" shopping center.
- Bus No. 103 (Puerto de la Cruz – La Laguna, direct) will change its route and will not go to the capital. It will directly connect Puerto de la Cruz and La Laguna.
- Other routes: If you need to get to Santa Cruz or La Laguna from other stops in the north, you can take bus No. 102 (Puerto de la Cruz – Las Arenas – La Laguna – Santa Cruz). It will run without changes.
Santa Cruz:
Buses No. 120, 122, 138 and 139 will run less frequently on weekends.
North of the island:
- Bus No. 347 (La Orotava – Palo Blanco – Realejo Alto) will run more frequently on weekdays.
- Bus No. 366 (La Orotava – Las Dehesas – El Rincón) will run on weekends.
- Bus No. 376 (La Orotava – Las Dehesas – El Rincón) will run less frequently.
- Bus No. 380 (La Corujera – Tigaiga) will change its schedule.
- Bus No. 546 (Realejo Alto – El Socorro beach) will no longer run.
- Bus No. 369 (Buenavista – Teno) will return to its winter schedule from October 1.
South of the island:
Buses No. 410, 412, 419, 421, 463 and 486 will again run according to the schedule in effect on school days.
- Bus No. 416 (Granadilla – Valle San Lorenzo – Los Cristianos) will change some of its routes.
- Bus No. 467 (Costa del Silencio – Los Cristianos – Costa Adeje – La Caleta) will have more night routes on weekends.
- Bus No. 493 (Guía de Isora, Alcalá) will change its route and will pass through the Playa de San Juan road (TF-463), the TF-47 road and Alcalá.
- Bus No. 494 (Guía de Isora, Alcalá) will also change its route. In one direction, it will travel via Guía de Isora (Calle del Campo) – Tejina de Isora (TF-82) – Piedra Hincada – Playa de San Juan – Alcalá, and in the opposite direction, from Alcalá – Playa de San Juan – Piedra Hincada – TF 82 – Guía de Isora (Calle del Campo).
Urban transport in Santa Cruz:
Buses No. 934 and No. 936 (Interchange – Taco – Santa María del Mar – Añaza – Interchange) will run more frequently on weekdays. Bus No. 910 (Interchange – Playa Las Teresitas) will run less frequently on weekdays and weekends, but still every 10 minutes. Bus No. 946 (Santa Cruz – Taganana – Almáciga) will make fewer trips. Bus No. 948 between Azanos, Playa de Almáciga and Benijo will no longer run.
Urban transport in La Laguna:
Bus No. 014 (Santa Cruz – La Laguna) and buses No. 012, 021, 023, 050 and 055 will have additional routes.
Urban bus No. 224 in La Laguna will not reach the beaches of Jover and La Barranquera, but will go to Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo.
University buses:
With the start of the school year, Titsa is re-launching buses for students traveling from different parts of the island to the university. Buses No. 605, 606, 608 and 611 will run again.
