Santa Cruz to purchase 401 tents for a flea market for €268,000
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council will purchase 401 identical tents for flea market vendors for 268,254 euros to improve trading conditions and the appearance of the market.
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council plans to purchase 401 tents for vendors at the flea market. Each tent will measure 3 by 2 meters. This will cost 268,254 euros (including tax). All tents must be delivered and installed within three months of the selection of the winning bidder.
The new tents will be comfortable, safe, and uniform in appearance. They will be covered with a white tarpaulin that is sun-proof, fire-resistant, and waterproof. Each tent will feature the city council logo and a transparent sleeve for the vendor's permit. They will be easy to assemble and disassemble, and will also include a carrying bag and special weights to prevent the tent from being blown away by the wind.
The mayor of the city, José Manuel Bermúdez, said that this is an important step towards improving conditions for vendors and buyers who come to the market every Sunday. "We promised the vendors to improve their conditions in the new location, and we are doing it," he added.
The First Deputy Mayor, Carlos Tarife, noted that the new tents will not only provide protection from the weather, but will also make the market more attractive and tidy.
Thanks to this investment, the flea market in Santa Cruz will become more modern and convenient for everyone.
