Santa Cruz Offers 18 Free Courses for Employment This Summer

In Santa Cruz, 18 free training courses will be held during August and September to improve skills and help with job searching.

In Santa Cruz, thanks to the local development organization, 18 training courses will be held in August and September.

This was announced by the mayor of the city, José Manuel Bermúdez. He explained that these courses will help people improve their skills and become more attractive to employers. That is, more chances to find a job!

Bermúdez also noted that even in the summer, when many people are on vacation, training does not stop. Nine courses are already actively running in August. And this is a great opportunity for those who want to improve their skills or find a new job, even during vacation.

Carmen Pérez, a representative of the development organization, added that the courses cover various topics: from computer literacy to resume writing and using social media to find a job.

The first course, "My Resume," started on August 4 and will be repeated on September 11. It will teach you how to make your resume one that will definitely be noticed.

The course "Discover Computer Science I" started on August 5 (repeat on September 16), and "Discover Computer Science II" on August 6 (repeat on September 17).

Two courses started on August 7: "How and Where to Look for a Job" (repeat on September 18) and "You Have Experience, But No Diploma: We Will Help You Get It" (repeat on September 24).

On August 13 and 14, the courses "7 Key Points of Your Salary and Contract" and "You Have an Interview; Prepare" were held. They will be repeated on September 24 and 25.

A separate two-day course will teach you how to use social media to find a job. It is called "LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Your Job Search" and will be held on August 19-20 and September 8-9.

The summer program will conclude with the course "Shall We Talk About Vocational Education?", which will be held on August 26 and September 30. It will talk about the possibilities of vocational education.

The City Council also reminds that on the platform www.empleasantacruz.com there is Santa Cruz Form@ – a large library of free online courses. There are over 350 courses on 20 different topics, available to anyone registered in Santa Cruz.
