'The Phantom of the Opera' to Premiere at Auditorio de Tenerife This December
The acclaimed production of The Phantom of the Opera, produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Antonio Banderas, will arrive at the Auditorio de Tenerife from December 26 to January 3.
The Phantom of the Opera is coming to the Auditorio de Tenerife from December 26 to January 3, marking a major step in bringing world-class theater to the Canary Islands. The production will feature the exact same high-tech staging used during its successful two-year run in Madrid.
This tour is the result of a partnership between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Antonio Banderas. Through their joint venture, Amigos Para Siempre (APS), they aim to elevate the quality and reach of Spanish-language theater. This version stays true to Gaston Leroux’s original story while showcasing a top-tier creative team, including director Federico Bellone, 2024 Talía Award-winning musical director Julio Awad, lyricist Silvia Montesinos, and award-winning costume designer Chiara Donato.
Since debuting in London in 1986 and New York in 1988, The Phantom of the Opera has become a global phenomenon, seen by over 160 million people in 195 cities. The production heading to Tenerife preserves the iconic score that has earned the show more than 70 international awards, offering local audiences a rare chance to experience a world-class performance.
While the production company, Letsgo, is currently finalizing the cast for the Tenerife shows, tickets are already on sale through the Auditorio de Tenerife’s official website.
