In Tenerife, a house has been lighting up 40,000 lights for Christmas for 30 years.
For 30 years, in the Canary Islands, Barroso has been transforming his house into a fairytale Christmas illumination, attracting thousands of tourists.
There is a house in the Canary Islands that becomes simply magical at Christmas! In 2025, it will be 30 years since it has been decorated for the holidays. And believe me, almost everyone in Tenerife wants to see the lights turned on there.
Lorenzo Barroso, who started decorating this house with his father back in 1995 in the town of Valle Guerra, wrote on Facebook that he is already preparing for the upcoming holidays.
"Over the years, more and more people have learned about this place, and it has become a real tradition," Barroso said. "People come to see our house like they go to La Laguna or Santa Cruz to admire the festive illuminations."
Last Christmas, more than 2,000 people gathered near this house on the El Boquerón road to see 40,000 light bulbs light up! It's a great place to spend time with children.
Lorenzo Barroso is a true master of his craft. He pays attention to every detail: light bulbs, large nutcrackers, a Santa Claus almost two meters tall, and many, many more decorations. He says his house is beautiful not only at night but also during the day.
